    The BJF S30 is an amp-in-a-box pedal that recreates the feel of a VOX amp model – with that perfect balance of British chime and crunchy overdrive. It sits somewhere between a Fender and a Marshall , with dynamics and character that make it extremely versatile in both studio and live settings.

    Unlike Fender, which has very effective tone controls but relatively little gain, Vox-inspired circuits have more gain built up after the tone controls . This means that the EQ in the S30 doesn't just shape the sound - it also affects how and where the distortion occurs . The result is a vibrant, responsive overdrive where treble, midrange and bass directly affect how much the signal distorts.

    Compared to the Marshall, the S30 offers more gain than the Fender, but less than the Marshall, giving a perfect balance of clarity, warmth and punch. Fender amps often have a natural “hole” in the midrange, which works well at high volumes – the S30 instead maintains a more focused midrange that allows the guitar to cut through the mix even at lower levels.

    The pedal is also equipped with a Cut control that operates before the amplifier stage, making it possible to fine-tune the behavior of the treble and how hard the input drives the circuit.
