Kranker is a copy of the well-known Speaker cranker / Electra distortion pedals. This pedal is built of quality NOS (new old stock) components and low noise transistor. The wiring is point-to-point with a true-bypass switch.

Components used: NOS Soviet MLT military resistors, NOS TESLA resistors from Czecho-Slovakia, NOS TESLA metalized polyester capacitors, Roderstein ROE capacitors, low noise BC549 transistor and germanium diodes.

Controls:

·       One knob - more kranker effect.

·       Footswitch - true bypass effect.

Power supply: 9V - 18V DC from power adapter (not included). Boss style standard center negative powering. You can´t connect a battery. You will get the best sound results with a quality power supply! Pedal contains reverse polarity protecion.

Dimmensions: 111 mm x 61 mm x 31 mm, classic 1590B aluminium enclosure.

Color/finish: Graphics is made by an acid etching technique when the picture is etched right into the aluminum enclosure with acid. The finish is made of clear coat lacquer.

Due to the handmade production of my pedals, you can find some imperfections in the surface treatment, such as tiny scratches, nicks, colored dots, etc., but nothing more serious!

Description of the original circuit: discrete, all-analog distortion enhancement device (i.e., not a booster), designed to give your signal some extra grit and a slight boost without drastically altering your tone. Think of it as sticking an extra preamp tube in your amplifier for more overdrive.
