BJFe The Waterpipe Vibra-Fuzz
hand wired by Bjorn Juhl (BJFe) Sweden
Uni-Vibe and Germanium Fuzz Face combo
Photocell Uni-Vibe circuit and Fuzz Face w/2 x Mullard (UK) OC139 black glass germanium transistors
from Bjorn: This is made of a VibraVibe wired in Chorus mode only and that is always on and first but modulation can be turned off with footswitch. After that there is fuzz face with Mullard OC139s selected for gains around 100. So VibraVibe preamp works as a preamplifier hot-wired to the Fuzz Face. Therefore it sounds different than typical fuzz faces and more like those fuzzes built into the VOX UL amps that the Beatles and many others used in studio. This unit is not true bypass but has a preamp always on like a vintage effect a la Uni-Vibe.
